Muş Alparslan University, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Animal Production and Technologies, 3rd year students, within the scope of their course "HUT315-Feed Additives in Animal Nutrition", on 22.12.2022 a livestock farm supported by the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK) in Muş-Harman Village. conducted a technical inspection tour at the silo facility of the company.
After the general information about the promotion of the enterprise, the silo location and silo feed were examined, and some physical characteristics of the silage such as color, odor and taste were defined in order to determine the quality of the silo feed. The students were informed about silage additives and their uses, and the issues that should be considered in feeding dairy cattle with silage were explained.
