Muş Alparslan University, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Plant Production and Technologies, 3rd grade students made a technical inspection trip to Muş Alparslan TİGEM Yıldız Tarım İşletmesi A.Ş. on 20.12.2022 within the scope of the "Seed Production and Standardization" course.
The technical study tour organized to increase the practical experience of our students was attended by Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Plant Production and Technologies Lecturer Dr. Mustafa Yaşar, our Faculty Secretary Veysi Bozyel, Agricultural Engineer Ahmet Furkan Küçüktatil and our 3rd grade students participated.
Mus Alparslan TİGEM Yıldız Tarım İşletmesi A.Ş. Manager Hanifi Yağmur made a presentation about seed production and Muş Agriculture. Business Technical Agricultural Engineers Yusuf Yavuz, Emin Bekiroğlu and Sedat Çılgın shared their field experiences in seed production with our students. In addition, Muş Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Plant Production and Plant Health Branch Manager Samet Aşkın gave information about Muş province seed production and inspections. Muş Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Seed Controller, Agricultural Engineer Engin Yıldız gave a practical explanation of the stages of field controls and sampling in seed certification.
Mus Alparslan TİGEM Yıldız Tarım İşletmesi A.Ş. Manager Hanifi Yağmur explained the certified seed production stages, the packaging of the seed, its effect and all other stages and the working principle of the seed production facility as an application in the facility. During the inspection tour of the facility, our student Zehra Evren stated that “it reinforces, interprets and better understands many things taught in the course”. He stated how important it is to be able to make optimum estimations in yield analyzes and therefore, we, agricultural engineer candidates, should be aware of the fact that they are professionally equipped and increase their knowledge.
