Dear Students,

Our faculty was established on 24.07.2017 by the decision of the Council of Ministers under Muş Alparslan University. Within our faculty, 3 departments were opened on 31.05.2018, namely Plant Production and Technologies and Animal Production and Technologies, and on 31.03.2021, Information Systems and Technologies Department, and 10 departments were opened under these departments. With the letter of the Council of Higher Education dated 31.05.2018 and numbered 75850160.301.01.02-44103, it was deemed appropriate to open Plant Production and Technologies and Animal Production and Technologies Departments by accepting 20 students each. Accordingly, students were accepted to Plant Production and Technologies and Animal Production and Technologies Departments in the 2018-2019 Academic Year and education and training began. In addition, in the 2021-2022 Academic Year, the Department of Information Systems and Technologies has started education and students have been accepted.

In our Faculty of Applied Sciences, academic and administrative activities are carried out with a total of 29 Academic and 6 Administrative Personnel, including 2 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 12 Assistant Professors, 6 Research Assistants, and 6 Lecturers who are on the staff of our Rectorate and assigned to our Faculty.

Currently, a total of 70 students continue their education in our faculty, including 41 students in the Department of Plant Production and Technologies, 26 students in the Department of Animal Production and Technologies, and 3 students in the Department of Information Systems and Technologies. In addition, as of 2021-2022, our Department of Plant Production and Technologies has started its Master's degree education with 12 students.

Our University; On December 12, 2018, it was selected as a Pilot State University in the field of “Animal Husbandry” within the scope of the “Regional Development-Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project”.

Again, with the decision taken at the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board on September 15, 2021, it was decided to open a “Joint Application and Research Center for Meadow-Pasture and Forage Crops in Forage” within Muş Alparslan University.

In line with the goals of the 11th Development Plan put into effect by the Presidency, the “Regulation on Joint Application and Research Center for Meadow, Pasture and Forage Crops in Forage” was published in the Official Gazette on January 10, 2022 under the coordination of our university and in cooperation with Çukurova University, Dicle University and Ondokuz Mayıs University.

In this context, in the field of meadow pasture and forage plants as important roughage sources and animal husbandry, TÜBİTAK, Scientific Research Projects (BAP), Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (DAKA), General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) projects are carried out in our faculty. In addition, joint studies and collaborations continue between our faculty and Producer Unions, Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Seed Registration and Certification Center Directorate (TTSM), General Directorate of Plant Production (BÜGEM), General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises (TİGEM).

R&D and Education Cooperation Protocols have been signed between our faculty and Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Turkish Cattle Breeders Central Union, Gebze Technical University Biotechnology Institute, Çukurova University, Dicle University, Adana Eastern Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute, Erzurum Eastern Anatolian Agricultural Research Institute, Aydın Adnan Menderes University and TİGEM. R&D and Education studies have been started within the scope of this protocol.

Muş Alparslan University Faculty of Applied Sciences; It is a pioneering and respected faculty that has analytical thinking, is principled, respects human rights, can identify problems in advance and develop creative solutions to problems, is equipped with sufficient knowledge and skills to be able to carry authority and responsibility in its field, does not compromise on professional ethics, supports University-Industry cooperation, carries out participatory contemporary education-training and research activities, contributes to regional and national development by producing knowledge and technology, and makes its studies sustainable by developing them with international relations. It continues its work in solidarity by taking serious concrete steps with great power and belief in order to make each passing year a better year.
