Prof. Dr. Yasar KARADAG
Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences
He was born in 1969 in Adana. He completed his primary and secondary education in Adana. He started his undergraduate education at Çukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops in 1987 and graduated in 1991 as the third in the Faculty of Agriculture and the first in the Field Crops Department. He completed his master's degree in 1994 at the same university, in the Field Crops Department of the Institute of Science and Technology. In 1993, he started to work as a research assistant at Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops. In 1999, he completed his PhD in the Field Crops Department of the Institute of Science and Technology of the same university. He received the title of ASSISTANT ASSOCIATE in 2003, Associate Professor in 2005, and PROFESSOR in 2010. He carried out many scientific researches and studies in Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Romania, Netherlands, France and Bosnia and Herzegovina, both at home and abroad. prof. Dr. Yaşar KARADAĞ has conducted a total of 23 postgraduate theses, 19 of which are Master's and 4 are Ph.D., so far. He has published 140 scientific works so far. He worked as an executive, researcher and coordinator in a total of 104 projects, respectively TÜBİTAK, EUROPEAN UNION, UNITED NATIONS, BAP, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Çorum, Sivas, Tokat, Amasya and Muş Pasture Improvement and Management Projects.

He has been working as the Deputy Head of the Department of Field Crops, Department Head, Deputy Dean, Dean of Yozgat Bozok University Faculty of Agriculture, and as the Vice Rector of Mus Alparslan University and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences since 15 December 2017 at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Agriculture. Prof. Dr. Yaşar Karadag is married and has two children.
