Dear Students,
Our faculty was established under the Muş Alparslan University on 24.07.2017 by the decision of the Council of Ministers. Within our faculty, 3 departments, namely Crop Production and Technologies and Animal Production and Technologies on 31.05.2018, and Information Systems and Technologies Department on 31.03.2021, and 10 departments depending on these departments were opened. With the letter of the Council of Higher Education dated 31.05.2018 and numbered 75850160.301.01.02-44103, it was deemed appropriate to open the Plant Production and Technologies and Animal Production and Technologies Departments with 20 students each. In this direction, in the 2018-2019 academic year, students were accepted to the Departments of Plant Production and Technologies and Animal Production and Technologies, and education began. In addition, in the 2021-2022 academic year, students were accepted to the Information Systems and Technologies Department and education began.
In our Faculty of Applied Sciences, there are 2 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 12 Doctoral Faculty Members, 6 Research Assistants and 6 Lecturers who are in the staff of our Rectorate and assigned to our Faculty. Academic and administrative activities are carried out with a total of 29 Academic and 6 Administrative Staff.
Currently, 41 students in the Department of Plant Production and Technologies, 26 students in the Department of Animal Production and Technologies, and 3 students in the Information Systems and Technologies Department, a total of 70 students continue their education at our faculty. In addition, as of 2021-2022, Master's education has been started with 12 students in our Plant Production and Technologies Department, which is affiliated to our Plant Production and Technologies Department.
Our University; On 12 December 2018, Pilot State University was selected in the field of "Livestock" within the scope of the "Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project Focused on Regional Development".
Again, with the decision taken by the Higher Education Executive Board at its meeting dated September 15, 2021, it was decided to open a "Forage Pasture, Pasture and Forage Crops Joint Application and Research Center" within the body of Muş Alparslan University.
In line with the 11th Development Plan targets put into effect by the Presidency, under the coordination of our university, with the cooperation of Çukurova University, Dicle University and Ondokuz Mayıs University, the "Regulation of the Joint Application and Research Center for Rough Forage, Pasture and Forage Crops" was published in the Official Gazette on January 10, 2022.
In this context, TÜBİTAK, Scientific Research Projects (BAP), Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (DAKA), General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) projects are carried out in our faculty in the field of meadow pasture and fodder crops and livestock. In addition, joint studies and collaborations with our Faculty continue with Producer Unions, Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Seed Registration and Certification Central Directorate (TTSM), General Directorate of Plant Production (BÜGEM), General Directorate of Agricultural Enterprises (TİGEM).
Our faculty and the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Turkey Cattle Breeders Central Union, Gebze Technical University Biotechnology Institute, Çukurova University, Dicle University, Adana Eastern Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute, Erzurum Eastern Anatolian Agricultural Research Institute, Aydın Adnan Menderes University and TİGEM. GE and Education Cooperation Protocols were signed. Within the scope of this protocol, R&D and Training studies were started.
Mus Alparslan University Faculty of Applied Sciences; Analytical thinking, principled, respectful to human rights, able to develop creative solutions to problems by identifying the problems in advance, equipped with sufficient knowledge and skills to carry authority and responsibility, not compromising on professional ethics, supporting University-Industry cooperation, carrying out participatory contemporary education and research activities. As a pioneer and respected faculty that contributes to regional and national development by producing information and technology, and makes its work sustainable by developing international relations, it continues its activities in solidarity by taking serious concrete steps with great strength and belief in order to make each year a better year.
I am waiting for you at our faculty to be qualified Agricultural Engineers who evaluate and develop the existing opportunities in production according to the future agricultural needs of our country and region.
